Root Canal Treatment

Root canal therapy is tooth conservation, therefore its purpose is to preserve the condition of the tooth in order to prevent further deterioration, and not to have it extracted or replaced.


The only solution in such cases (of course, besides tooth extraction) is the total removal of the ill, inflamed and very much painful dental pulp, cleaning the tooth down to the roots, and insert such material in the place of the late dental pulp, which reaches to the tip of the root and totally fills up the place of the late dental pulp. During the filling the filling material has to be continuously pressed together layer by layer in order to achieve the possible best closing and space filling.


During the root canal therapy it may happen that the filling material overruns the root tip or just does not fill in the space totally. For this purpose we use the Apex Locator device which electronically controls the distance to the tip of the root measured in parts of millimetre. Our patients have always been satisfied with our services, but for safety’s sake warranty is valid for this treatment as well, of course.
